The Malay Empire Cypher  Vol. 1 marks a beginning of our quest to give young and relatively unknown acts a voice to express their artistry.



With the base elements of rap: One DJ; a turntable and MCs on the microphone, Malay Empire will showcase the greatness that Cross River State Hip Hop has become.

The Cypher Sessions are devoid of the embellishments that characterize the Cross River State music industry today.

Volume 1 features some of the fiercest MCs in the genre: Freaky Pee, Koksymalay, 6lack Foreigner, Aves Amani, Realvibes, Butu, Cali ice, JayD and Baji

Subsequent editions will host some of most talented rap cats on this side of the divide, while also giving opportunities for underground heroes to get their music heard.
